Who we are

Welcome to the United Nations Youth Australia Northern Territory Division's (UN Youth NT) website.

UN Youth aims to promote the ideas and works of the United Nations among youth and the general population. Besides promoting the United Nations and its charter, UN Youth encourages young people to become interested and achieve a greater understanding of global issues. As an organisation UN Youth is also commited to to advocating for youth participation in domestic affairs and the democratic process.

UN Youth equips young people with skills in debating, negotiation, leadership, problem solving and an interest in international affairs, all in a fun and supportive environment. By giving young people the space to discuss and debate issues important to them, their peers and community, UN Youth gives voice to young people allowing them to effect change in their community. UN Youth serves dual roles, one as a body to educate, the other as a body to advocate.

UN Youth NT is responsible with carrying out the aims and aspirations of UN Youth in the Northern Territory.
